About "The Lost Valleys"
"We have many creative people in the small communities scattered through the hills and valleys of rural Central New York, living in an area where many river valleys, both large and small, wind through the countryside. The Chenango, The Unadilla, The Susquehanna, and the Otselic Rivers, as well as the Butternuts, and Canasawacta Creeks have carved their way into this countryside, as well as our hearts. These wonderful valleys may be lost to the world, but they are not lost to us. They are our homes.
We invite you to come and visit, stay awhile, and see what we mean. Life is a lot smoother around here"

Featuring creativity and creative people in and around the rural communities of central New York, we try to make you more aware of talented people that may be your neighbors. In addition to focusing on more obvious representatives of creativity, such as artists, crafts, writers, musicians, and performers, we explore less recognized, but as important creative fields in horticulture, architecture, food preparation, construction, technology, etc.
At Lost Valleys, we want to tell a story. A story about each artist, and why they create, as well as what they create. Since the spirit of the creator is an important part of any hand made work, the goal will be to capture that spirit in addition to the work itself by working with each artist to communicate the creative philosophy behind their work.
