Seasonal Healing The month of June and July, if our body is in balance with nature, the body will start to work on the immune system. The lymph, thymus, tonsils, spleen, skin, and tailbone. As the fruits come into season, the lymph starts cleansing. The rhubarb and strawberries allow the accumulate catarrh to start loosening up and clean out of our muscles and joints and into the blood. As the cherries become ripe the mucus in the blood starts to cleanse out into the colon. Then the raspberries and blueberries come to season and pushes the undigested foods from the colon. The healthy sugars from the fruits will also at the same time support the adrenals which help to create excess energy for us and prevent too low blood pressure which could cause stress headaches and lightheadedness.
During all of this time the body is in a cleansing mode. But if the body continues to cleanse without toning and building , the mucus can cause other problems like sinus headaches, over tired feelings, excess mucus in the throat area and may turn into yeast problems. Cleansing is great but do not forget everything comes in threes. Remember to tone and build at the same duration but not at the same time. That means utilizing what is ripening during this same time period.
Look WHAT DO YOU SEE ? as you drive along the sides of the roads? Beautiful flowers. Those beautiful flowers. Many edible flowers like the Elderflowers, Red clover blossoms, All lilies especially the Day Llty, are all toning to the immune system. Body brushing will open the skin pores and rid the body of the dry mucus on the skin. Finally, we need to build the system. And that means the fresh veggies that are coming into season. The swiss chard, spinach, beets, mustard greens, young potatoes, as squashes to name a few. The body also will start to ask the thyroid for more work. With the thyroid increasing your metabolism, the muscles will be used therefore moving the lymph. The lymph does not have a pump like the blood has the heart, it has to rely on the bodies movements to move the system. The thyroid needs healthy oils that are in seeds like pumpkin, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, and sesame seeds.
