The Opera House continues to honor the extraordinary American contribution to the world of music with a variety of American artists from different genres. In June, hear the unbelievable harmonies of a cappella ensemble DaVinci's Notebook as they poke fun at the Back Street Boys, N Sync and other popular musicians. For blues and jazz lovers, June ends with the rockin' Chicago blues of the Downchild Blues Band and July starts with the all-American sounds of jazz with Triple Play a trio featuring Chris Brubeck, son of Dave Brubeck.
American roots music will have your feet stomping this summer. To commence, you'll be treated to the musically tight harmonies of bluegrass band, Luther Wright & The Wrongs in July.
You probably never thought to ask 'what if Pink Floyd became a bluegrass band?' - Luther and his zany group explore this new territory. In August, the sweet fiddle and accordion of Cajun band Charivari will bring Louisiana's best export to central New York. In September, catch the rough and tumble Texas swing music of Jo Miller and Her Burly Roughnecks.

In September, contemporary British theater makes its way to central New York with the Sumbrit Theatre Company's startling and thought provoking presentation of "Conversations with a Cupboard Man."
For the youth of the new millennium, it's great to be a kid again this summer at the EOH. Children will be treated to several free events thanks in part to Madison County Youth Bureau's continued support. One of these will be the return of Afro-Brazilian dance and percussion sensation, Nego Gato in June. The Children's Circus Camp also returns for its fourth season this summer. Kids can run away, join the circus, and still be home in time for dinner! The camp will run from 9:00 to 2:30 daily for two weeks starting July 22nd and ending with their final performance to the public on the evening of august 2nd.
